  • Eimskip increased its Trans-Atlantic service for exporters of fresh commodities from the Faroe Islands and Iceland to the United States and Canada.   • A formal naming ceremony was held in Faroe Island for Eimskip´s newest vessel Brúarfoss. The vessel´s godmother is Eva Rein who had just celebrated her 50th anniversary as an employee at Faroe Ship.

  • A milestone was reached in energy exchange at Sundahöfn when Eimskip entered into an agreement for the design and construction of equipment for electric land connection of ships in Sundahöfn. The Company continues to take steps towards using green energy in the operation with investments in e.g., electric harbor cranes and more environmentally friendly reach stackers, trucks and cars.
