North Atlantic Liner services

Eimskip connects the North Atlantic to the rest of the world by linking the Liner services with its worldwide forwarding network, providing integrated, reliable, and cost-competitive logistics solutions. 

Eimskip operates a vast fleet of liner vessels in the North Atlantic, vessels that transit on regular routes and visit ports on set schedules. The liner vessels are a mix of container, refrigerated bulk, and multipurpose container/bulk vessels.

We provide cargo transportation from pick up to the final destination. This is done by a combination of moving the cargo from port to port on a liner vessel along with inland transportation and cooperation with trusted logistics partners.

Services offered

The North Atlantic is our home market

Eimskip has defined its home market as the North Atlantic, stretching from the east coast of North America to the west and north coasts of Norway and embracing Newfoundland and Labrador, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, and Norway. Seafood represents a substantial part of the total cargo in the Company’s home market.

Cooperation between Eimskip and Royal Arctic Line, the national carrier of Greenland, and Eimskip is built on VSA (Vessel Sharing Agreement), where capacity is shared between carriers. The cooperation creates opportunities for a more efficient sailing system for Eimskip as well as opening new sailing routes to and from Greenland.

Trans-Atlantic services

Eimskip offers weekly Trans-Atlantic services between main European ports and North America. Eimskip calls on many ports in the North Atlantic east and west regions. No other transportation company in the North Atlantic offers the same coverage in the region.

We offer fast, weekly departures and arrivals in Portland Maine, Halifax Nova Scotia, and Argentia Newfoundland - to and from – Iceland, Faroe Islands, Northern Europe, United Kingdom, Scandinavia, Baltics, and the Mediterranean. Offering FCL and LCL service, both for dry’s and refrigerated cargos. Specialized in hazardous and project cargos we can offer you solutions for all of your transportation needs on our Trans-Atlantic liner service.

Short sea services

We offer weekly short sea services between Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, and New England. Eimskip handles almost any size of shipments from less than container load to full container loads, reefer shipments, oversized and specialized cargo. Through domestic distribution solutions, Eimskip arranges pickup and/or delivery to any place in the USA, Canada, and Europe.

Eimskip offers both short sea and feeder services to multiple locations within Europe.
